The Thirtieth Trial

Where: Trial zone

[The trial zone doesn't exactly appear to be inthe best shape. It's the ruins of an old building, something once grand, perhaps a castle, with a strange statue of sorts with six spheres leading to a large seventh on a pedestal. It's possible t see a forest beyond the walls, though find a way out to that seems impossible, and plants have overgrown almost everything.]

[On the statue's pedestal is an inscription:
Three tribes that brought a storm,
Winter brought them to task.
Eventually things would become warm,
What in return did springtime ask?]

[Not so far beyond it appears to be stairs leading down into the earth. And to the side of that is a throne.]

[And on the throne is....someone new in Senna colors? Though perhaps the hair is enough of a give away. Though those with a keen eye may yet notice she's still wearing her geode still, with the distinctive cutie mark still on it.]

[She's lounged across the throne, legs kicked over one side, elbow resting on the other, head in hand.]

I'm bored. [And she offers a grin that has a dangerous glint to it.]

I'm far more concerned for my comfort than you seem to think.

I'm just saying, that last memory seemed to shake you up a lot. And now you're sporting demon wings and running a trial you don't want to talk about.

Do you not get the concept of a surprise? And what's wrong with demon wings? Des has demon wings and she's nice.

Isn't Des a demon? They're supposed to have demon wings.

So what's the problem with demon wings?

And these are more like dragon wings anyway.

They're not yours. Not the everyday you anyway. Even if it's your power, I think something's still messing with it. And I think you should care a lot more about that.

[daydreamshimmer]

Neither are hands. Frankly, if I cared too much, I'd never have peace.

[malignstar]

Yeah, but we've seen that in most of your memories. We've never seen this.

[daydreamshimmer]

We also haven't seen me with the half way form or the light wings.

I was in your head with the latter. Or his head. Both your head?

[ Pauses for a moment ]

... okay, he says he remembers that. He thought it was just an effect of you being in his dreamscape or something.

That doesn't even make any sense!

[daydreamshimmer]

[She shrugs.] I've had them temporarily out of the dreamscape. Dreamscape is probably just easier.

[malignstar]

Let me ask you just one more question. Do you feel in control right now?

[daydreamshimmer]

I feel more in control than I've ever had.

And I know I could control more, if I wanted to.

[malignstar]

Uh, maybe hold off on that until after the trial. And you know, after we know more about what's going on.

It's mostly the second one. Sure, I could HAVE more control, but then what am I going to do with it? I'd need a goal or else it's just a lot of micromanaging for no point.

Exactly. See, I'm perfectly reasonable. Not 'evil.'

I guess I can't argue with that.
