INTROS + MONTHLIES

Who: Everyone
When: Day 60, evening
Where: the Aurora

[The Candy Hearts are gone-- or at least, they're no longer all over the place. If you kept a few for your own purposes then well, feel free to enjoy yourself. Live your best life!

Though you may have just got out of a Trial recently, there is the sound of an announcement on your Chain: ]
WELCOME NEW HEROES

[And indeed, there is another round of newbies waking up in their rooms, in the usual nondescript undies or team pyjamas. They'll get their basic welcome message and a prompt to view the IC Guide.

"Someone" has seen to bring refreshments to greet the newbies. It's sparkling water, refreshingly cool and surprisngly sugar-free considering the surroundings. If you choose to drink it, you will find yourself instantly refreshed, almost as if you'd gotten a full day's rest. You will also find that the very next thing you say to someone is a mildly inconvenient truth. It cannot and will not compel you to tell someone your deep, dark secrets but it MIGHT compel you to admit you forgot to brush your teeth this morning....

Have fun and enjoy meeting your new people! ]

[[OOC NOTES: As the monthly prompt, the sparkling water will continue until next month's placements. If you have any questions, please ping the mods via the q&a. Thank you!]]

[Loki shakes his head. What a weird kid. He does wave a hand over the chunk, causing it to glow faintly green, before holding it out.]

That will likely keep it from reconstituting without harming you.

The leader of this train, the one who is responsible for bringing us all here, is the Star Prince, Cardamom. You are not required to meet him, but you likely will if you participate in challenges or missions. He is... frustrating... but his odd methods do have effects on the threat we are fighting.

[Frown.] A pony is a type of animal, similar to a horse, though smaller in size.

Oh, thank you! [How nice! He'll gladly take it and give it a try.]

[He chomps down... and immediately regrets. Wow. Wooooow that's hard. He tries to suck on it instead and that seems better, but the texture is weird. He hums.]
Still tastes good.

[He probably shouldn't swallow it, though.]

Ooooh, a Prince! [He likes the idea of meeting someone like that.] I'll try to get his attention later then. I'm excited to try out one of these "missions" you speak of.

I see. [A pause.] What's a horse?

[Loki chuckles] You are quite trusting. There are many I knew who would assume I had put an evil spell on that food. And while I do not bespell food, any food you find around here is bespelled in some way or another. Thankfully they are usually more annoying than truly negative, but it is something to keep in mind.

You are impressed by royalty? [Trying to hide his annoyed jealousy over the boy being impressed by someone else's title.] I should inform you that you are already in the presence of royal deity.

...a horse is an animal meant for riding. You have never heard of them?

I wouldn't say that. [It's a little hard to talk around the rock-hard gingerbread, but he's very stubborn and doesn't want to get rid of it just yet.] I just really like sweets. Why would you put an evil spell on a cake? Why would anyone wish to bespell food in the first place?

I suppose! I don't believe I've ever met a Prince or a King or anything like that before, but I wouldn't know. [He tilts his head to the side.] You didn't say you were royal before. And a deity! You're a god? Shouldn't you be glowing or something?

[He shakes his head.] I can only name some smaller animals I know. Bigger ones... those sound like something from a storybook.

Of course you would not. You do not know the name Loki, as myth or... my more recent exploits. I am well-known for my tricks and magic, and while I have never tampered with food, any who know of my reputation would still suspect it. As for why someone else would... food is necessary for life, treats are especially irresistible. If one wishes to harm or bespell another in a way that is not obvious, food is a natural choice.

You believe gods should glow? [Odd, but easy for Loki to accomplish. He's now glowing so brightly it might be hard to look at him.] I am a prince of Asgard and the God of Mischief.

[Pursing his lips.] How strange. Even mortals, who know only a few of all the animals to exist, know of ones larger than themselves. You must be from a rather... isolated realm.

Loki. Ah, Solar mentioned you! So I do know your name, but that is about it.

That would be a cruel thing to do, indeed. [But even as he ponders this, he wonders if maybe he could also make some mischief by adding something to a snack sometime.]

[Watching Loki light up sends Klarion into a fit of giggles. Even though he needed to shield his eyes he instead claps to express his delight, squinting painfully.] How wondrous! You should do this all the time!

Perhaps! I wouldn't know.
