The home of the gods. It's difficult to give a name to a place that is pure spirit, without matter. Hard to even consider that a place in the same way a city or a mountain is a place. Humans aren't really meant for considering that sort of thing since we are made of matter and spirit, and live in a world that has both. Even brief encounters with the divine are... hard to describe in ways that capture the feeling.

Me personally? Well, the first clue is Desdemona's reaction; she's better at sensing such things than a human is.

Demons are chaos elementals. Without training, they leak it into their riders, and can only do basic downhill magic.

But they're considered under the domain of the Bastard, god of all things strange and out of season, so the Bastard's temple organizes training for sorcerers. And tries to pair demons with riders who are already temple divines.

Which doesn't always work.

It depends on the person. Most simply pray that the Bastard's attention passes them over; but some find value in... a place for those who do not fit, or the small action that changes everything.

Desdemona? Yes, she shares my body. But it depends on what you mean by control.
