we're clovering our best
Who: Cl..clover? And you?
When: Day 34, Noon-ish
Where: Lounge Car
[ man, clover's looking really different lately huh? weird. oh well, it doesn't matter much, new fresh faces are always excited right? especially when they appear to be setting up a… … well the sign says "ā~Showtime on the Aurora~ā" in big glittery pink letters (with "open mic night" written just below it in smaller, less glittery letters). the man putting the sign up is big enough that he barely has to strain to hang it high above the heads of the clover member(s) directing him. sadly he's not wearing a kigurumi anymore, but that doesn't stop him from looking borderline miserable at being there. or maybe that's just his face? ]
….. Remind me again what this kind of event is supposed to serve.
[ he addresses his teammates, the redhead responding first ]
Fun, excitement, joy, happiness, things that you might not understand.
[ which is quickly followed up by the only ray of sunshine in the room right now ]
It's about us having fun and making friends! We're the newbies, we gotta spread that goodwill~ā”
[ … he deadeyes both of them (but especially the redhead). before sighing, and stepping down from the 'stage' to return to the chair where he'd apparently left a book that he promptly picks up and starts flipping through again.
this is probably going to be awkward. ]
[ basically the way this works is either you can respond to the Clover members who will do their best to uh… jokes. or you can jokes yourself on "stage"! stage here basically just being the middle of the lounge car. we don't actually have a mic so. do your best! ]

he's still flipping through the book in his hands, though it's going to disappear cover face-down on the table as soon as anyone not a Clover approaches. though you might get a glimpse of the title containing the word "jokes". ]

wh, ]
What are you praising me for?
no subject
How much does a polar bear weigh? Enough to break the ice!
[Or...]
Are you a camera? Because every time I look at you, I smile.
[Really, where did she get this fro-]
If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?
no subject
Well - are you not leading them, as you intended?
no subject
... it was Morning's idea. I never said that I would lead them.

A-Archer...

she doesn't laugh, but she is smiling. it's impossible to tell if she thinks they are good jokes or not. ]
no subject
Glad to be of service! Are you gonna be a part of our little comedy hour?
bless her
It's too bad she's only kidding about that last one, because she definitely wouldn't mind holding it against her, and then some.]
no subject
If she was aware of 80H's line of thought, maybe it wouldn't be as much of a joke? Who knows with this one.]
I think I miiight be a little better at physical humor, but I'd have to warm those two up to the ideal of a skit.

[LAUGHING THOUGH]

I think you may need to find a volcano.

No fair!]
No kidding. But if I hide everything to wear but our kigus, they're bound to see things my way!
no subject
I'm standing up, aren't I?
no subject
Ah, there lurks something devious behind that sweet smile. I wish you well with that endeavour. Just hope they do not harbour any secret desires to wear them and you will be fine.

... It is, at any rate, wonderful to see you expending such effort already - certainly. Certainly, I myself could stand to glean some degree of knowledge from your example.
[ a pause ]
... Though jokes are likewise no forte of mine.
no subject
... My apologies. You simply resembled someone that I knew before...
no subject
[ laces her fingers together, a bit embarrassed, ]
Jokes aren't particularly any - I'd hardly say I have any skill with them...

not that she doesn't immediately know who he's talking about, but ]
... Is... Is that so . . .
no subject
Iām pretty sure she took half of her brain and lost it somewhere, maybe when she had her head up her ass.
...
[mumbles]
But maybe she was right on a couple of things.
no subject
[ coughs ]
- At any rate, I'll clarify only if it's something you'd like to know.
no subject
Who is Archer?
no subject
[ give her a second
she's digging around in her pocket for something? ]
... A Heroic Spirit, first - is a familiar spirit recorded within the world as a result of their actions, be they in history, literature, or folklore. Should one intend to make use of such, however, they must first be summoned as "Servants," containers created in the interest of emphasizing their capabilities and binding them to the physical world - these Servants, to that end, are further separated into classes based upon certain criteria and emphasized characteristics; as I and that girl knew you, you were summoned into the class of "Archer," one that specializes in the use of projectiles...
Of course, it isn't your real name; regretfully I may not claim to know it. I would have counted you among my friends, at any rate.
no subject
We're friends, huh . . . you really got bad taste, don't you?
[Pause.]
What are you lookin' for there?
no subject
[ eventually
pulls out a half-empty cigarette box, offering him one ]
1/2
[Immediately brightens up and reaching over to grab one.]
I didn't know it, but that's exactly what I'm lookin' for right n-
