Does looking at a lab count for a bond? Cool if it does, but I don't think you'll actually learn that much from it? It's not even standard for workshops, I just modeled it off of my one at home, and that was a custom job.

I have never seen a lab or studio that was geared specifically for necromancy.

Oh, well, the main thing is space. I need some pretty wide arrays normally, and especially if I'm working with larger specimens— I need room for the circles, for the skeleton, for my familiars, for me, and for all the rest of my stuff. Like storage! If I'm keeping multiple specimens on hand, which I am, then I need to have room to sort things by individual and species, and there needs to be environmental and material controls so nothing gets degraded. That's not so much a concern here since I'm not doing fossil work and my familiars are in stasis, but I have some custom cabinets at home that have their own vent fans to keep the humidity so stable. Oh! And I have a necropsy sink! That's a big thing for here!

There's nothing in there that isn't useful! I've got extra worktables and a great new desk too, so I can work multiple projects at a time— and it's all on wheels, so it's repositionable for whatever I need! The room fits the work, not the other way around.

What sorts of projects will you be undertaking now that you have such a versatile space? Congratulations on it, as an aside.

Thanks! And first thing first, I'm going to animate one of those viper skeletons you brought a while ago. There were a couple theories I was thinking on, and I'll probably still try the color-referencing process just to see how it works, but that's only one skeleton. With this space and the number of single-source specimens I have, I can set them up in sequence and use their group draw to make for an extra-attractive host despite the soul-body mismatch.

Did you require more specimens?

Since the bones are so small it's going to be hard to write scripts on them directly, so I can instead mark each major bone with a color and then put the spellwork for that elsewhere, but ringed by the appropriate color so it can still apply. It's not something I would normally use, but it should be effective.

I don't need anymore corrupted viper skeletons, but I would still like to see a live sample of either form.

Oh gosh no! I don’t plan to pick them up or anything, I just want to see how they move and behave.

We can go observe them any time you wish, though they are hostile, so that makes matters a little more challenging.

I could bring Isolde to be careful. She won't let me get bit, and they can't do anything to her.
