[Though the sun should be high in the air, just after noon the sky clouds over, and a steady drizzle begins. While gloomy, it's not particularly harsh, and the warm weather means you might even enjoy being out in it! In fact, the relatively thin and patchy clouds mean you may seem rainbows here and there. It's quite nice, really -- except, that is, that there are now tiny frogs everywhere. Near the train they're safe, but closer to the corrupt areas they're toxic.

At the same time, you hear the jingle associated with an official message from your Chain -- the usual "newbie time" balloon animation and text:]

WELCOME NEW HEROES

[This round's new blood are waking up in their rooms, in the usual nondescript undies or team pyjamas.

For the first hour or so, it seems that'll all that'll happen today. But then there's that all too familiar Trial feeling...

...Aaaand a flashy pink convertible has arrived in the clearing. It's followed up by another message:]

Hello, everyone. Your ever-grateful Prince speaking. It's been awhile and we've got some new faces, so I'm here to answer a few questions.

Buut to spare myself a little, I'm limiting it to one question per hero. I'll tell the truth, no matter what you ask, as long as it's at all reasonable! After that though, I reserve the right to cut you off -- but I won't, probably, if you play nice.

Sooo, how about you come outside and see me?

[Message sent, Cardamom gets out of his car and unfurls a big, incredibly sparkly silver umbrella. It looks like the most intensely holographic nail polish you can buy, and the raindrops only make it worse.]

We all need to sometimes. Would you like to see something a bit less impressive?

[She turns around properly as she speaks and, ah, the rain is leaving very little to the imagination with the way her clothes cling to her. Thankfully, the bunched nature of her top helps a little in that regard.]

Certainly, though I am certain it is rather impressive. Shall I leave the water?

[Resolutely staring ahead- 80H is undeniably lovely, but it would be rude to stare.]

Just let me have some rain.

[And the air shimmers as she creates a dome shaped shield of force just above the water, drops of rain sliding off the the side of it and into the sea. It's like a bell of water, and it shimmers with the iridescent light of the shield. After a few seconds it collapses.]

See? Nothing so impressive, I'm afraid- but our arts are quite different.

[Amane can create shields of her own, but that hardly matters, it is the novelty in it being someone else from another world, presumably, that holds her attention. (Worlds are very big, it would be odd not to guess that sometimes someone may be from the same place, but this magic does not feel familiar to her.

Thank you. Ah, that's the most I can take advantage of the rain, in any case. I have not really considered using my magic for artistic purposes.

[It is impossible to see between the rain and distance, but her cheeks grow faint pink. Still, she dips her head a little, shyly.]

I like water, just not getting rained on. You should get back inside before too long- you might catch a cold like this.

I am immune to adverse effects from low temperatures. I also do not catch colds; I am not human. Should you not return inside?

An automaton, then. That is fascinating. You look, ah- well, quite convincingly "organic" to me. Like a human.

Therein the conceit: androids are made to look like humans.
