Who: Rean, Crow, and Randy

Where: the garden

[Rean's been passed out since princess maker, so a good 40 hours at least. When he wakes up... well he's immortal but here's never been in a position where there's no ambient mana he can use to even function basically. He feels fuzzy and almost like he's sick for over an hour, and he runs into more than one wall and that's all so absolutely unreal to him he finally texts Randy and Crow a simple word Garden. It takes him three tries to spell it right before hitting send.

And he'll be there next to a chalk circle full of symbols.]

[He doesn't even answer, just hauling ass out there as fast as he can.]

Rean?!

[ That's concerning. That's deeply concerning, and Crow makes a break for it as fast as he can.

When he shows up, he takes a moment to take in the sight before him. ]

Yo, Rean. You really don't look so good right now.

[ It's concern, really. ]

[He's looking really... tired? And pale as hell. He was sitting but he stands when Randy arrives, smiling reassuringly as he can.

He didn't mean to be alarming though he's realizing now in his foggy state that maybe he was a little too concise.]

Hey.

[He really doesn't look so good! Pale and a bit out of it even. But he stands up when Crow arrives, smiling apologetically. He really didn't mean to be so cryptic he scared anyone.]

Sorry, I didn't think I'd worry you.

Of course I'm gonna get worried with cryptic, one-word messages. You're getting worse, aren't you?

[It's an understatement but he's already alarmed Crow enough. No need to be dire about it.]

But not so much that you need to feel obligated. If you bind yourself to me it'll be like we share a soul in some sense. My wounds will become your pain, your desires will be my will to carry out. We'll share a lot more than just mana.

Hey, I already signed on okay? I get that this is a big deal-- maybe even bigger than I can really wrap my mind around without being in that situation. But I'm not changing my mind. I know what I'm willing to do....

[ He reaches his hand out towards Rean, to clasp his hand-- though it's up to Rean to take it. ]

...You cut it pretty close, huh? You should sit.

[He smiles more, shh, don't worry, he is fine. Believe his expression and not how worn he looks.]

And I might be a little tired but that's all. Ignore that for a moment and let me ask you; are you really sure about this? Entering a contract with me, there isn't a way to go back, as far as I know. My wounds will be your pain and your desires will be my will to fulfill. We'll share a soul and be linked together in pretty much every way.

So this isn't something I want you deciding on rashly or out of concern.

[Rean takes his hand willingly, smiling.]

Just so you know, I have no idea how to end a contract, so I can't just break it later. You still sure?

Yeah, I hear what you're saying and I'm still not backing out so you can stop warning me off.

Okay. I'm done asking.

Are you ready, to do this?

...Rean. I already knew all that. And I meant it when I offered.

As ready as I'll ever be.

[ He flashes a grin at Rean. ]

[Relaxing a little, smiling because. Will, well he doesn't want Randy cornered. Of course he had to ask again.]

Thank you. Are you ready now?

All right.

[He squeezes Crow's hand and steps into the circle.]

Just so you know I'm improvising.

I appreciate you asking.

[he nods, though, rolling his shoulders.]

What should I do?

[ He squeezes back. ]

Yeah, I figured as much. Just tell me what you need me to do.

Well, honestly I'm improvising.

[But he steps into the circle, taking in a deep breath.]

So for now.... offer me a drop of blood.

Fair enough. Can do.

[biting his thumb hard enough to draw blood, and offering his hand to Rean.]

Hm, well for now offer me a drop of blood.

[He's letting go of Crow's hand.]

[He doesn't have the mana left to make a contract himself, but he can channel Randy's.

He kneels in the center of the circle, lifting his hand to take Randy's. As his hand makes contact with Randy's the circle glows, Rean's voice taking on an otherworldly tone.]

Dost thou desire power?

[ Crow nods and considers for a moment before he pulls his hand back long enough to bite down on his thumb hard enough to draw blood. He holds it back out after a moment, once he's certain that his thumb is bleeding. ]

[He kneels within the circle, reaching to take Crow's hand. As their fingers touch the circle glows. Rean hasn't the mana to do anything himself but he can channel Crow's into this with the offered blood.

His voice grows otherworldly.]

Dost thou desire power?

[ He's taking this completely seriously, nodding firmly once. ]

Yeah... I do.

[ For a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is helping Rean out of this predicament. ]
