I can make a very educated guess about the man I know, but I don't really know all the context, do I? Only your memories would have them. I feel I'd do you a disservice, trying to tell you anything without that.

It's all been rather difficult. And the people here all have such severe gloominess of their own...it rubs off on you after a while.

These are troubled times, and most of us feel rather incomplete. We should be so lucky that it is not worse. But...I intend to enjoy days such as this.
