You realize it must slide open, so you grab it and pull. It moves maybe an inch and then budges no further. You scowl at the door for a second.
You roll up your sleeves. You spit on both your hands. You rub them together. You grab the door and you pull with all your might.
It gets about half open and then slips out of your grasp and slams shut while you fall on your behind.
You begin to realize you might be in a little trouble here. So you call out to anybody who may be on the other side of the door.]
Uh...
...Help?
I'm kinda stuck.

Hi! Hello? I heard a door slam!

[You look over your shoulder.]
That was us.
The door is kinda. Heavy. It slipped when I tried to open it.

[You look around and see a chair at a desk next to the bed and go get it.
You acquired CHAIR.
You drag CHAIR over to the door.]
Okay, I've got one!

[prying the door open and wedging her leg in for leverage]
Go go go, chair chair chair!
no subject
....what? You didn't do that?
You immediately, without hesitating, slide CHAIR in between the door and the frame. In the process, you lost CHAIR. But the door is staying open enough for you to see each other.
You wave.]
Hi.

Hi! You weren't in there too long, were you?

Nuh uh. I woke up, listened to that announcement. [It's starting again right about...now.] Then I looked around for a way out and tried to open the door.
So um.
Where...are we?

[ The teenager wakes up with a groan, blinking blearily as he looks around. ]
Ugh... I feel nauseous...
[ He looks around, but-- everything is unfamiliar. ]
What the--
[ He stumbles out of bed, and the door-- won't open. With a scowl, he starts slowly tugging on the door. You might even be able to hear the grunting as he struggles to pry it open. ]

[surprise help pulling the doors open from the other side!]

[ Not that he has any idea what anything outside this room is like right now. Oh well, that's not important.
With the two combined, the door opens-- not easily, but far more rapidly than it would have otherwise. He looks at his rescuer. ]
...Thanks. 'ppreciate it.

Do we need to hold this one open too?

[You look at the tall guy. Well, tall relative to you.]
Do...you know anything about where this is?
no subject
Not a damned clue.
[ The words come out gruff and with no small amount of reluctance, but they're honest. ]

[could be sarcastic, but she just sounds stressed. cool cool cool cool cool.]

[This seems like the textbook definition of kidnapping.]
Does anybody know what's going on with the voice in the PA?
no subject
[ He drawls the word out. ]
All I've got so far is "kidnapped and the power's out." Which is pretty self-evident.
