Who: Heroes, possibly suffering
When: Day 16, Late Morning through Afternoon
Where: Aurora

[Well, that just happened! Many people on the train are now doubtlessly the worse for wear, physically and psychologically. How are you sorting all of that out?

Alternately, maybe you have enough Sparks for a memory and you're playing it on the big screen? Or you're testing out a new power?

Or maybe you have something else in mind? Mingle away!]

Whether it's real or fake, if it's Golden Dawn nonsense, that book's best use is as a doorstop.

The last book I was reading was what real Enochian looked like. The one after the Arabic.

[Sorry, Eliza, the language is a real thing where she's from, even if the setting is agnostic about the bullshit-to-truth ratio of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The player assumes that the language in the setting doesn't resemble Baby's First Constructed Language as the 'real' Enochian looks like, and was what people decided must be the 'tongue of angels' so it fit in their worldview.]

Given what it took to make the physical book that man brought in, it would be... distasteful to use it as a doorstop, regardless of its contents.

[waves her hand dismissively. the Order was real enough in her world, but her complaint isn't with the use of the language itself, legitimate or not— her bone to pick with is with 19th century summoning practices. stupid clubs with completely garbage safety standards, in her opinion.]

If it's real human. If someone's going to buy a knockoff, they're not going to know better between human and pig. It is tacky, though.

[Oh, once Cat gets back the memories, she can rant with you about people and their lack of safety while summoning]

That is certainly one word for it.

Yes, that was what I was thinking. And only that mild if the donor died of unrelated reasons.

At least that's probably true. There's easier ways to get human skin.

Once I remember a bit more. Besides that I worked at a bookstore and led a magic study group.

You must have known a fair amount if you were leading the group.

Well, yeah, but how many of us actually qualify for that level?

[besides, actually, eliza]

Us here or us in general?

Here's easier to gauge, but in general it's probably not common either. I had a heck of a time finding a good tutor.

I know I told Mister Day I had instruction when I was young. I don't remember why that stopped yet.

Do you remember if it was professional instruction? Like a school?

No, I don't. It's all going by what I've told others as an adult, and that I was being honest.

It is. It's why I've decided to start keeping a journal; I might figure more out if I have to write it down.
