Who: Jasmine and visitors; 80H on her lonesome
When: Day 14 late morning/afternoon
Where: Jasmine car or outside

A

[After settling some matters in the public lounge, 80H returns to the Jasmine car and seeks out anyone on her team. Her manner and bearing are proper and formal to the point of stiffness, though she might relax microscopically if you're like, Coral.

Her hair is down from its usual bun, and is instead in a romantic French braid.]

Pardon me. I am certain you are busy, but if you would permit me a moment of your time, I would be grateful. If you would rather not, that is acceptable, as well.

B

[80H is outside the Aurora and can be found doing a number of things. She is at the beach, letting the waves wash over her feet. The bottoms of her skirts get damp, but she does not seem to mind it at all.

Or perhaps you see her venturing onward into the forest, either moving deeper or hanging thereabouts, picking all kinds of flowers or interesting plants. In either case, she looks up at the sky for a long moment, wondering aloud. She may be difficult to recognise or unrecognisable at all, because she is dress entirely in black, wearing thigh high, strappy stockings and matching boots, a black dress with white embellishments, sheer accents and cutouts, and a blindfold over her eyes, tied to the side of her head in a bow.

it's nier, ok she's in yorha uniform.]

...Hm. Perhaps it would be possible.

[perks up, holding up one of the wrapped ribs for inspection]

Prepwork! I'm getting this set papered so I can write on them, so then I can put some extra seals on when I try to summon one of these.

[Eliza's necromancy, fortunately? unfortunately? is not the most suited for reviving conscious people versus amnesiac megafauna]

Mostly failsafes and a couple to encourage nucleation. Normally I wouldn't bother with marking the host so much when it's something so fresh or so small, and like I doubt there's actually a shortage of snake spirits available here? But it's a very unique summoning situation, and I don't have all of my familiars or a back-up. Lots of failsafes.

It may not be the case here, which I'll have to figure out if that affects things, but I work with soul fragments. I need to get them coalesce into a whole, but before that I need some to attach at all.

[gestures as she talks, making a tiny pinch and then expanding her hands wide]

The most important failsafes are going to be to protect me as the summoner. I need to make sure the attachment is secure, but temporary and easily disabled at any stage. I also need to make sure that it's only snakes that answer, and that I don't open a bleed— I need to use a lot of magic for the summoning, but it has to stay in that spell instead of just draining out of me. Isildur is my biggest buffer for that, though.

Technically they kind of do, but not really. An example I gave someone once is that say I'm working with a border collie. The new soul will know how to be a dog, how to act like a dog, and it'll probably match up pretty well with the breed characteristics for collies. But it won't recognize whoever owned that dog, and it might obey commands that that dog was never taught... Only the basics that the amalgamation can agree on really come through in action.
