No, each skeleton has its own soul, it's just made of pieces of old souls. Like a quilt!

How are you able to work with souls like that?

That's the necromancer part.

I don't control them. I summon them. If the souls don't want to answer my call, they're under no obligation to.

Right, it's asking! Not only do I need to find fragments that are willing to work with me, they also need to be able to meld with each other. It can very long process, but the end result is cooperative.

Most linger around the places where their bodies are or were, so some summonings become long-distance exercises.
