Yes? Is that weird?

I'm a lot of dragon to fit in a little human.

I was exhausted when I was in Eliza's body. Like felt ill exhausted.

[ Tilts her head, which, plenty of her body language has never been quite right for a human and that probably looks especially weird on Eliza's body. ]

Really? Why?

Dunno. Not sure if she ever figured out why it was. Especially when I felt better around my body.

Hmmmmm. [ Squints at him, thoughtful, head tilting the other way. ] Hmm.

What's different between you and me, and you and Eliza?

Well, Eliza does have a connection to dragons.

You both grew up with magic just being a thing.

[ She finally manages to properly sit up on the tree branch, clinging with both hands and lightly swinging her legs. ]

She's connected to her dragons 'cause they're familiars. That's different, like Mao and me, kind've. Maybe it's the magic.

Maybe? But I do kind of have magic. Got a pendant and I can definitely feel it pulling energy from me.

Yup! Don't know about all dragons, but for me, I'm an alpha.

[ Switches to swinging her legs alternatively. ]

The pendant is why I can use it, but it's taking my energy. So that'd make it more like a siphon, wouldn't it?

And I can maintain a magical contract so I have enough 'potential' magic for that.

People assigned female at birth, yeah. At least naturally, there's some stuff that can be done with surgeries and in a lab.

....um. Is omega and alpha like....a different binary? Because I got like two concepts for that sort of thing in a biological sense and one is. Certainly. A thing.

Would that really make a body feel sick though?

[ Makes a little squeaking sound under her breath- then makes a face, because it just isn't right with Eliza's vocal chords. ]

Binary..? Two concepts? I dunno. S'far as I remember, you've got dragons like me, a female alpha, then you've got male alphas, and it's the same way for omegas. Betas, too.

Think I'd feel sick if all my energy was suddenly gone.

You know what, one day I should probably ask more questions about that because multiverse theory is a goddamn troll, but I'm not sure I'm ready for that conversation right now.

I got near the siphon when I got near my body. I felt better then.

...now I'm wondering if part of my soul is like....in there, somehow. Or that prompts magic generation somehow. Though it certainly didn't like to stick....

When I'm back in myself, I could ... try? To take a look? I can sense magic in people and things.

I still have my Contract with Noon and he's a whole lotta magic.

So I said I'd do it. That's the mark on the back of my hand. He's at least somewhat aware of my emotional state, and I think he can always find me? I can also give him three unbreakable commands, whether he disagrees with them, or if the laws of literal physics disagree.

Not so excited with the whole override his will bit, but I didn't learn about that until after the binding. But I can't say the whole emergency power boost isn't a nice thought. At least, whenever he wakes up.

[Override his will bit is terrible, but being able to help him break physics in moments of desperation is legit.]

Never felt ill affects or anything, so I must have had a decent amount. [Slightly above average non-mage, thanks leftover Epsilon bits for extra soul.]

Yeah. Fell asleep. The mark faded after that, but its still there which is strangely reassuring. At least he's not dead which hopefully means no one else is and asleep isn't just a cover up.

Well, good. Bad things happen when you try to give more than you've got.

Cover-up? Why would it be a cover-up?

I don't think 80H would have helped us with the ritual if she didn't think I could. She's very fussy about people being taken care of.

Because I'm paranoid and have been trained at this point to distrust authority, especially authority I don't get to see a lot of. There's a lot of reasons for a cover up so proof at least some of the 'unseen' things are at least somewhat true is a relief.

[ Shuffles around in the tree, trying (carefully) to get herself down. It. It is not going super well; she finds herself dangling, scrabbling around with her legs for a foothold, WHERE DID THEY ALL GO, oh no, she could just drop but what if that hurts Eliza, humans are delicate ]
