EVENT: Mr Sandman
Who: everyone
When: Day 21, night
Where: in your beds
[Tonight just after dark, one of the many kinda of plants in the still-corrupted jungle bursts into bloom. Those who are nearby will see huge yellow flowers unfurl, smell sickly sweet and letting off a cloud of sparkling golden pollen as they pop open. But even if you're nowhere near the flowers, this bloom will effect you too -- it's a windy night, and the pollen is blown in the direction of the Aurora. Anyone outside in the evening will find themselves dusted in the shimmery stuff, though it appears to have no ill effects.
Once affected characters fall asleep, however, they'll find it wasn't so harmless after all. Their dreams will be vivid and deep, and not fully their own. Dreamers may wander in and out of eachothers' dreams, experiencing them sometimes as an interloper and sometimes from the perspective of the dream's owner. Anything that happens to you is still "just a dream", but you'll wake up remembering it as if it were a memory.
Sleep well, heroes.]
[NOTES: This is a good old standard dream post! Dreams can be anything -- a look into your character's psyche, a memory, or something totally nonsensical. They can be funny or traumatic or whatever you'd like them to be.
If you want your character to "host" a dream, you'll be in charge of running it. Include any content warnings in your toplevel! Characters can travel to as many dreams as you want, and don't have to host a dream to visit one. Tag out at will! If you have any questions, please ping Cleo on discord. Thank you!]

cw: variable, see ooc note
But tonight, well. This is a forest...temperate and coniferous mostly, a stark contrast to the jungle outside. The canopy is so thick no light pierces through it, and the tree bark is jet black, but a sort of eerie light suffuses the mist, keeping it from total darkness. There is just enough light for the mind to start believing it sees things in the brush, just enough light for the occasional flicker of eyes in the underbrush.
There is but one path in the forest, clear of the thorns and thistle of the brush. And whether you go off the path into the darkness or follow it to the end, one thing is certain.
Someone's watching you.]
[ooc note: this dream has variable paths depending on player comfort level! Please indicate if you would like the safe paths or something darker. CWs for the darker path include: blood, gore, cannibalism, possible body horror, loss of mental control, bees and spiders. If any further CWs are needed they will be marked in the headers.]

Sooner or later, it becomes clear that there are lights, hidden in the mist. But the way they bounce and flicker...those don't seem like lanterns, do they?]

Her eyes follow the lights though, trying to ascertain where they might be coming from.]
cw: undead people, zombie gore?? i guess
Right now, you're in a warmly lit room. Like a club, with a stage and a piano and a bar. There's very quiet music playing from an old looking radio.
And the room is full. Packed like it would be on any exciting Friday night, with attendees at every table, all facing towards the stage.
Except they're dead. There's a bullet in most of them, a knife in the rest. A couple may have gotten their injuries from being shoved down what could be a flight of stairs. Either way, the room is full but nobody's speaking.
So there you are, in the middle of all of this. And most of you breathe, or move, something. Anything that makes even the tiniest sound. Whatever it is that you just did... has dozens of very dead heads turning to stare directly at you.
Good luck! ]

well.
She's not familiar with this style of bar, and she's definitely not familiar with a radio, but those thoughts are merely distractions. She's not unfamiliar with necromancy and the dead, either. Her brother would pull a prank similar to this.
The thing is, it's an effective prank because this is terrifying. So there she stands, in the weight of fear, and swallows hard. She must not show it...]
...Can I help you.
Re: cw: undead people, zombie gore?? i guess
Oh gosh.
Um.
You aren't actors, are you?
