What kind of person I am has nothing to do with it. Even if I understand you carry guilt it does not excuse refusing to listen to anyone else!
I also did not think that it was likely the consequences would be severe, but the actual outcome either way matters little!
Taking the matter into your own hands with no regard for anyone else is the issue I take!
